Asphalt PatchingDone Right.
Hot mix asphalt patching for potholes, alligator cracking, and low spots — proper compaction, not a quick cold-patch fix.
Asphalt Patching
Done Right.
Some damage is past what sealcoating or crack filling can fix. Potholes, alligator cracking, and low spots that hold water need to be cut out and replaced with real hot mix asphalt (HMA), not a bag of cold patch from the hardware store.
We patch with proper compaction, typically a 2-inch compacted lift, and use a tack coat on existing asphalt edges so the new material actually bonds instead of just sitting in the hole.
Patching is priced by measured area and depth, not a flat rate per pothole, because small patches are genuinely more labor- and material-intensive per square foot than large paving jobs. We'll always tell you honestly if an area is beyond what patching can reasonably fix.
Surfaces We Handle
Real Hot Mix Asphalt
Not a cold-patch shortcut — properly compacted HMA that actually holds up.
Tack Coat on Edges
New asphalt bonds to the existing surface instead of just sitting in the hole.
Proper Compaction
Plate-compacted to the right depth, not hand-tamped and hoped for.
Honest Scope
We'll tell you if an area needs more than patching can fix, rather than patching over a bigger problem.
How We Do It
Measure the Damage
Each patch area is measured for square footage and depth.
Cut & Clean
Failed asphalt is removed and the area is cleaned of debris.
Tack Coat
Existing edges get a tack coat so the new asphalt bonds properly.
Place & Compact
Hot mix asphalt is placed and plate-compacted to the right depth.
